Impact of Sunlight on the Human Body

  • To maintain temperature in the human body, a part of the brain called hypothalamus acts as thermostat.
  • But the temperature produced by the sunlight on day time changes the level of hormones in our body and also it affects hypothalamus.
  • Due to sunlight, Vitamin D is produced in our body and it increases the production of hormones in the adrenal glands which in turn stimulate the heart to increase the blood flow.
  • At the same time blood vessels are constricted. Hence it raises the blood pressure in our body.
  • The transformation of glycogen to glucose in liver is also triggered. And brain gets more oxygen flow.
  • Hence the temperature now makes us more active and energetic.
  • So take a brisk walk in direct sunlight in the morning which is good for health.
  • Taking vegetables and salads on hot summer days will help us to have mental activeness.
  • Since it can be directly digested as nutrients. And taking coffee on hot day will contract the blood vessels thus increase the heart rate instead of slowing down.
  • But if the temperature is goes high means the perspiration makes the heat off from the body.
  • And the blood vessels will expand due to sweating. Now the oxygen flow in brain is also reduced.
  • At this time, it makes us to feel as frustrated. We may take some medicines to avoid those feeling but the temperature should be between 72 and 78 degree Fahrenheit.
  • Otherwise the medicines will give some side effects.
